I studied in COOPERACION, SPANISH SCHOOL for 2 months, my experience was fantastic. The teachers are very good, my teacher Mily is the best in Antigua.
All the students during my time in Coopercion was very happy with teacher. They have a special system, pushing students to speak.

studied with Jorge for 13 weeks without a break. It was an intense
and challenging experience full of laughs and jokes and cultural
experiences the likes of which we never saw again in our travels over 2 and a
half years. Three years on and my Spanish is still pretty good.
Jorge\’s teaching has been hardwired into my brain. He is by far the best
language teacher I have ever been taught by. When my wife started at la
escuela, her Spanish was non-existent. By discussing la chisme and
Hola magazine\’s articles, she built her Spanish up and by the end of the
13 weeks she was nearly fluent. Thank you to Mily and Jorge for the
most effective language tuition we have ever had.

I studied at this school for one month during summer ‘07; I had a mixed experience, as did several other students. Student experience really depended on the assigned teacher - some students were thrilled, and others, not so thrilled. It’s really not at all cooperative - the teachers get paid by the boss when they have students, and the system didn’t seem too different from any other school in Antigua.
My recommendation would be that whatever school you try, don’t sign up for more than one week in the beginning - that way, if you aren’t thrilled, you can find a different teacher (or request a change of teacher at the same school). It’s pretty much impossible to get any sort of refund if you pay in advance and then decide not to continue with the same school.

I studied for one month at this school, my experience was incredible all the teachers are really prepared for teaching spanish and they receive a fair salary, of course they earn money when they have student.
I studied in another school before and was really bad, bad experience.
I recommend COOPERACION, Spanish School if you really want to learn or improve your spanish.

I am from Switzerlandand and was many times in Antigua between 2002-2008 for longer and shorter periods where I have seen several bigger and smaler language schools. The nicest school of all those I visited was „Cooperation Spanish School“ and I have returned there often. The school is serious, the teachers very flexibel and friendly and you learn a lot! The school is also able to organise a party or excursion, if the students like it and it is appropriate.
I had a great time there and speak fluently Spanish now.
Try it out, you will have a lot of fun and be soon master of a new language!
