Hotel Villa Santa Elena is located in the “green heart” of central Guatemala, department of Alta Verapaz. The hotel is new in 2009 and is the best choice for a comfortible stay while traveling north to Tikal/Coban or east to Rio Dulce/Livingston.

We are only a few minutes from the beautiful (but secret) waterfalls, called Las Conchas. If you have seen the famous Semuc Champey, we would love to have you visit us and give us your comparison of these marvels of nature.

Our hotel features 10 lovely rooms, each with private bath and hot water showers. The rooms surround our central garden and fountain, “Antigua style”. Our prices start at $17 and range up to only $30 per night. Please ask about our weekend specials for up to a 30% discount.

Our Restaurant is very popular in the area and features delicious typical food of the region. We also have meeting facilities for special events. We are only 2 blocks from the central park of Chahal and minutes from the caves at Se’Tzol, with underground lake.

You will find us on the main road, Franja Transversal Norte (FTN) or route 5, between Fray Bartolome de las Casas, and Modesto Mendez, (aka Cadenas). Only about 3 hours east of Coban and 1.75 hours north of Rio Dulce. Public buses pass directly in front of the Hotel daily.
